ABOUT THE STUDIO
Padauk interior and architecture design studio is an interior, furniture and architecture based firm in Kozhikode, Kerala founded in 2015 by Mr. Yasar Arafath who is one of the directors of Tip Top furniture and an interior designer and civil engineer by profession. As a studio, they value functionality, practicality and quality while keeping trends and aesthetics in mind.
IDEATION
Several form based ideation and brainstorming was performed with the characteristics and aesthetics of Mid Century Modern in mind.

DESIGN FINALISATION
After generating multiple concepts from different keywords, a set of designs was chosen, taking into account manufacturing processes, product stability, strength, cost analysis, completion time, and customer requirements. During the selection process, careful analysis of manufacturing processes was conducted to assess the feasibility of transforming the concepts into tangible pieces. Emphasis was placed on product stability and strength, aiming to create furniture pieces that offer both durability and reliability, while maintaining appealing aesthetics. Additionally, a crucial step involved cost analysis to evaluate expenses related to materials, manufacturing, and production processes.

A luxurious center table for the living room of a residential space that is a combination of aesthetics and functionality.
DESIGN CONCEPT
The round center table with an elegant wooden top has an exquisitely finished rich walnut hue. Standing on slender and lustrous brass legs, the table exudes elegance and functionality. The harmonious contrast between the wooden top and the brass accents brings out the visual aesthetic of the center table. Crafted from polished wood, the table features a smooth, circular surface gracefully with a seamless circular motion, providing ample space for various items. The drawer, discreetly built into the table’s top, enhances its practicality and offers convenient storage space. In a living room space the wooden table takes center stage. The seamless fusion of these elements results in a visually striking piece. The furniture pieces create an ambiance of timelessness and sophistication, capturing the essence of mid century modern design.
The table top undergoes a rotation of one-quarter turn, facilitated by a turntable mechanism. This mechanism enables the table top to rotate, allowing it to move smoothly and precisely to the desired position. The integration of a turntable mechanism into the table’s design enhances its functionality.

DESIGN CONCEPT
Mid century modern inspired console table with its walnut hue, showcasing a sleek wooden top supported by four sturdy legs, brings out the furniture’s timeless and traditional look. The asymmetrical shelves not only add a touch of visual charm but also serve practical purposes. The table’s refined surface and well-defined lines perfectly harmonize with the overall look of the room. An elegant brass handle serves as a distinctive accent, enhancing its overall design. Along with the accent brass handle the brass framing through the door framing highlights the console’s details.
Brass handle complementing the design of the door. Brass as a material has high durability and the golden hue enhances the aesthetic value of the design complementing with the mid century modern theme. The leg’s form is inspired by the iconic pegged legs of mid-century modern design.

An elegant wooden center table with a circular top crafted from high-quality wood, the table creates a focal point in the space with its smooth finish and perfect craftsmanship. The center table, standing at a practical height, matches the surrounding furniture and seamlessly fits into the overall look. The table’s wooden base with a delicate detail of brass accent, adds a touch of beauty to the design.
The table adds versatility and functionality to the room, with each place dedicated for different objects. The top section has a hardwood top and provides a space for placing drinks, books, or other personal belongings, while the bottom section provides additional storage or display. The center table adds warmth and character to the area while capturing the essence of midcentury modern design. opportunities, expanding the table’s use.
The pegged legs are beveled where they connect to the bottom section. The table top features a rounded edge and takes on an inverted truncated cone shape at an angle of 150 degree.
